A DAY OF FUN AND LEARNING AT HOMESCHOOL GLOBAL’S FAMILY FUN DAY 2018

Dear Dreamers
Children bring the learnings of their education throughout adulthood. With such an important matter, one cannot help but ask themselves which school should they enroll their child in. Well, have you considered homeschooling?

Through homeschooling, you can pass on your values while letting them explore their creativity in ways a school cannot offer.

What then stops most parents considering homeschooling to push through? A common misconception with homeschooled children is that they do not develop socially as well as their traditionally-schooled counterparts. This is not true as most homeschool study programs regularly engage their students in social and educational activities outside their homes and with people other than their family members. They are commonly involved in activities such as field trips, scouting, 4-H, political drives, church ministry, sports teams, and community volunteer work.

HOMESCHOOL GLOBAL FAMILY FUN DAY
A celebration of homeschooling, Family Fun Day, was organized by Homeschool Global to gather homeschooling parents and kids as well as those who are curious about homeschooling.

Kids got together to play in the inflatables and game booths. While parents got to listen to talks and meet the homeschooled achievers. A bazaar was organized by homeschooling parents where delicious food, educational toys, books and more were sold.

The activity highlighted that the Homeschool Global community is a large, unified family that is committed to meeting regularly for learning and support. This also provided parents with an avenue to exchange tips and best practices with one another as well as socialization opportunities for their children.

To further provide you with reasons why you should push through with homeschooling, I chatted with one of the achievers along with her mom, and asked them some questions I had about homeschooling.

But first, let me introduce Louise Mabulo, a finalist in the Junior Master Chef competition of ABS-CBN. She represented the country in the Disciples Escoffier Young Talent Trophy in Hong Kong. Louise was also selected as Delegation Head and Campus Ambassador at the United Nations Youth Assembly.

Learn more about the rest of the achievers at FoodYi Family’s post.
