Attending Chagee's Sip and Paint at Workshop as a Cha Master

DEAR DREAMERs
What better way to unwind after a day of work than to sip my favorite tea while rekindling an old hobby? I registered for Chagee's Sip and Paint at Workshop for their Cha Masters (guess my cup count), eager to discover what new flavors Chagee will come up with. I must say, they did not disappoint.

If you’ve been following my lifestyle blog and food blog’s social media accounts, then you’ll know that I’ve been a fan of Chagee for more than 2 years now. I first discovered Chagee in Malaysia, and I’ve been actively collecting their merchandise ever since, especially their tumblers. For more than a year, I’ve been wishing that Chagee would open in the Philippines, and as luck would have it, they did. Once they did, I immediately raced to reach the minimum required cups to become a Cha Master.

You might be wondering why I rushed into achieving Cha Master status. It’s because I’m slightly familiar with the perks that come with being a Cha Master. I know for a fact that Cha Masters get invited to exclusive events such as this workshop. In other countries, Chagee Cha Masters can even receive a free tumbler on their birthday.

Chagee Sip and Paint at Workshop

I attended the Chagee Sip and Paint at Workshop, held at Sip & Gogh Eastwood on June 29, 2026. Instead of wine (which is what Sip & Gogh usually serves), we had the opportunity to try Chagee’s newest flavor, Apple English Breakfast Tea. We savored this new flavor while painting an apple. It has been years since I last picked up a paintbrush, and this experience was surely welcomed. It may seem daunting to try this experience if you have never tried painting before, but it’s actually very beginner-friendly because you can ask the Sip & Gogh members to assist you. You can ask them to help you draw the outline or adjust your work for some finishing touches.

You might be wondering why they chose Sip and Paint as their activity for this new flavor. In collaboration with Tate, the Apple English Breakfast Tea series comes with merchandise designed with paintings from Henri Fantin-Latour, Mark Gertler, and Paul Cézanne. Tate is a world-famous art institution, and this Chagee collaboration with Tate will surely be appreciated by those with a love for tea and art.

Final Thoughts
If you’re wondering why my hair is messy, it’s because I had to brave the strong wind and rain just so I won’t miss my first Chagee Cha Master event. I had to spend a few hours planning my outfit and trying to steam my crop jacket to iron out the deep wrinkles. I was a bit worried whether or not my outfit was considered Gallery Chic (the dress code). Despite having gone to Eastwood a couple of times in the past, it was only then that I found out that the buildings were all connected with a covered walkway. I came from the Eastwood Mall all the way to Le Grand 3, however, there was no roof on the final crossing of my journey to Sip & Gogh, and as luck would have it, it was the one day that I forgot to bring my umbrella. As luck would have it, my flats got submerged in water, and I ended up with separated soles on the way back (at least it didn’t break down during the workshop). In hindsight, I should have parked at the Citywalk 2 parking. I only saw the parking after the event.
