ROSANJIN JAPANESE RESTAURANT

DEAR DREAMERS
Last year, I dined at Rosanjin Japanese Restaurant with some of my siblings and relatives after ice skating for the first time. Ice Skating for a few hours really made me worked up an appetite so I had high hopes for Rosanjin especially after seeing their restaurant design.

Their interior and set up really catches your eye, it has a nice contrast of dark tones and brilliant colors. The ambiance was just as marvelous, it definitely compliments the type of food they serve.

Tonkotsu Ramen Set (P250)

I love their ramen, the broth was rich in flavor and the noodles were firm and springy. The only downside was the toughness of the beef but the broth, on the other hand, was almost as good as Ramen Nagi’s. Given that it was such a tasty ramen, the price was not bad especially since it had gyozas along with the set.

Their tonkotsu ramen set comes with unlimited rice and 3 pieces gyoza. The price may have changed though.

Sukiyaki Set (P390)
Good enough to be a hotpot, their sukiyaki set is good for sharing.

Chicken Tonkatsu Set (P390)
The tomato concasse was leaning more on the bland side but the katsu’s breading was okay.

Assorted Tempura Set (P390)

Shrimp, fish and vegetables are the components of the assorted tempura set.

Grilled Salmon Set (P390)

Grilled Mackrel Set (P390)
Just like the grilled salmon, the grilled mackrel was tasted nice but the abundance of fish bones made me a bit disappointed.

Chicken Karaage Set (P390)
Sadly, their chicken karaage was kind of dry and the portion was too small especially for its price.

Except for the tonkotsu ramen set, the rest of the set meals comes with unlimited rice, miso soup and two side dishes, one of which consists of okra and crab meat.

Overall, I find that there is nothing special about Rosanjin, although they do have some fairly uncommon Japanese dishes. Despite the lack of specialty, the food is scrumptious and the quality is up to par for such food prices. Rosanjin seems like a good place to sit down and just enjoy some quality Japanese cuisine.

After a scrumptious meal at Rosanjin, it was back to skating for us and off to Mega Food Hall.

Location
Rosanjin is located at 3F Mega Fashion Hall, SM Megamall, Ortigas, Mandaluyong City.
