HYDRAFACIAL REVIEW AT FACETS AND FIGURES FACIAL AND SLIMMING SPA

Dear Dreamers
I have always dreaded facials when it comes to the painful pricking. Since my first facial, I have associated all facials with the painful pricking but today I will be sharing something different. Hydrafacial is not your usual facial, it’s a painless and non-invasive resurfacing treatment with zero downtime and discomfort.

A few days ago, I was invited to Facets and Figures Facial and Slimming Spa. They are a spa that offers non-invasive treatments for natural skincare needs.

Inside Facets and Figures is a sparkly clean spa which has a nature themed interior. Aside from services, they also offer natural skincare products which have been used by local celebrities.

Speaking of celebrities, Hydrafacial has been used by international celebrities and local celebrities such as Maine Mendoza. Having Hydrafacial present in a spa’s list of services is a sign that the spa is top-notch because that’s how classy Hydrafacial is.

MORE ABOUT HYDRAFACIAL
Hydrafacial is a natural skin care treatment which means it is perfect for pregnant moms and breastfeeding moms like me! I wish I knew about this service while I was pregnant because my acne broke out then. Hydrafacial is a treatment that address all skin problems and is customized based on the skin needs of the person.

3 STEPS OF HYDRAFACIAL
STEP 1 CLEANSE & PEEL.
Uncover a new layer of skin with gentle exfoliation and relaxing resurfacing. The cleansing was done through exfoliation using Activ-4, a moisturizing serum while the peeling was done using a vial of glycal.
STEP 2 EXTRACT & HYDRATE.
Remove debris from pore with painless suction and nourish with intense moisturizers, namely the Beta-HD, that quench the skin.
STEP 3 FUSE & PROTECT.
Saturate the skin’s surface with antioxidants and peptides to maximize the skin’s glow. DermaBuilder was used to target fine lines and wrinkles.

LYMPHATIC AND LED
Aside from the 3 steps, they did a lymphatic massage to release excess water. In order to increase the effectivity of the serums, the lymphatic and LED lights were used just to do that. Of course, the LED lights were also customized. If you have reddish and irritated skin, a red light was used. For acne-prone and oily skin like mine, it was the blue light.

CUSTOMIZABILITY
Aside from the LED lights, the antioxidant was not used on my skin because it was for more matured skin. Using it on younger skin would cause the skin to be prone to breaking out. They first perform an assessment of your in order to maximize your experience.

DURATION AND FREQUENCY
The treatment would take around 30 minutes to complete. As for the frequency, it would depend on your skin condition. Some would need to take the hydrafacial twice a month while others would need to take it every 7-10 days for optimal results.

EXPERIENCE
The whole Hydrafacial experience was relaxing, I could tell that my face was being cleansed thoroughly. Actually, I especially looked forward to the suction part where my whiteheads were being extracted, there’s just satisfying about it. Not only was I left relaxed but I was left with clean, soft and supple skin. Best of all, the Hydrafacial promotes long-term beneficial effects.

This was the tube where all the dirt they extracted went to. So usually, it’s much dirty than this where you can see black dirt from blackheads floating. Luckily for me, they told me that my face was not that dirty. The water started clear in color and as you can see it has turned murky thanks to the dead skin cells extracted. You cannot see it on the picture but there were a few whiteheads floating. I guess my ritual and rigorously cleansing of the skin paid off, if not, the treatment might have taken longer.

Most spas I have been to tell me I have really nice skin, it’s probably because I take the occasional facial when my skin needs it and also because of my cleansing routine. Actually, Facets and Figures aim to educate their patients where they will recommend certain products so that they can use skincare products especially targeted to their skin type. After doing so, they will not need to go to the Facets and Figures to fix the skin problem but they will only go there to maintain their skin like I do (hehe).

LOCATION AND PRICE
Normally, a Hydrafacial treatment will cost P5,000. But for this month of August, Facets and Figures is offering 50% discount on their Hydrafacial, meaning it will only cost P2,500.
