Growing up, we didn’t have to wash dishes or do household chores because we had household help. Now that I’m married, the chores are divided between me and my husband. Honestly, washing the dishes can sometimes be a drag, but I realized that it does not have to be.

When I was a child, I remember washing the dishes and doing the laundry alongside our household help. What compelled me to do so was probably because I wanted to imitate them. Children usually want to copy their caregivers or as the saying goes, “Monkey see, monkey do.”

Taking into consideration that children like to imitate, I want to show my baby that dishwashing and doing other household chores can be fun. Whenever I wash dishes or fold the laundry, I set my baby down next to me or wear her on her backpack carrier so she can be part of what I’m doing. Of course, she enjoys the view and sees it as a game but more importantly, I’m setting the groundwork that doing chores is a normal thing to do.

Just having my baby with me when I’m doing chores already makes the task enjoyable (she babbles a lot when she sees my washing the dishes and making bubbles), what more when we do the chores together when she gets older?

I was recently sent with Bubble Man dishwashing liquid samples. I tried the antibac variant and it was indeed gentle on the hands. It may be gentle on the hands but it definitely does its jobs, just a few drops were necessary to clean our greasy bowls. I love the smell of the antibac variant, it reminded me of the smell of cola gummies for some reason. Its best feature is, of course, its affordability.
