Grace Cosmetics 95% Aloe Hydrating Gel Review

DEAR DREAMERS
Growing up, we had aloe vera plants at home because they were good in aiding hair growth. Aloe vera is a wonderful plant known to soothe but personally, I love the smell of aloe vera and I love aloe juice. I'm excited to share with you this organic skincare product from Grace Cosmetics which comes all the way from Australia but is available here in the Philippines.
Grace Cosmetics 95% Aloe Hydrating Gel promises an instantly poreless, firmer looking skin while soothing skin irritations.

Consistency
At first, I assumed that the product with being gel-like because of its name 95% Aloe Hydrating Gel, however, the aloe gel they are referring to is the contents of the aloe plant which is the aloe gel. They're not actually referring to its consistency but to its content rather, its consistency is more of a serum.

Review
Grace Cosmetics 95% Aloe Hydrating Gel leaves my skin instantly hydrated without making it oily but what I love about using it the most is its ability to control oil and perspiration. I've recently avoided applying make because our air-conditioning broke down and before I even get to apply primer, my skin is a sweaty mess. I easily sweat and the heat makes it worse so my moisturizer can't easily be absorbed by my skin because of all the sweat. However, after using the 95% Aloe Hydrating Gel, my skin is free from sweat even after moisturizing.

This product is definitely perfect for summer and for those who easily sweat and have oily skin like me. It makes applying makeup easier during hot, humid days.

Test it on a patch of your skin first
It felt a little tingly on my nose area but there were no signs of redness or irritation. It's the same feeling I get when I use toners with alcohol. Benzyl alcohol is a known irritant, even for naturally derived ones, so it's better to test it on your skin first especially if you have sensitive skin. However, on my second and succeeding uses, it didn't feel tingly anymore so it could probably be due to using an exfoliator on my nose prior to using the aloe gel.

Naturally-Derived Benzyl Alcohol
You might be thinking that why does it contain benzyl alcohol. I thought the same. However, their benzyl alcohol is naturally derived from berries and prunes. It's there to keeps your skincare bacteria-free. You'll notice that a lot of organic skincare contains benzyl alcohol because it is used as a preservative.
