My Lazy Day 3-Step Korean Skincare Routine for Oily, Acne-Prone Skin

DEAR DREAMERS
Some days, I feel too tired or too lazy to do my 7-step or 10-step skincare routine. Other days, I simply have no time since I have to get myself and my baby ready at an early time. On these days, I use only 3 skincare products to get ready which includes sunscreen. After I apply these 3 products, I simply put on my lipstick and leave.

Since I've started taking my skincare seriously, I've been confident enough to not wear foundation, cushion or bb cream, just bare-faced. I have days where my skincare routine is extensive, full of masks, I kind of call these days my mask days but that's for another blog post. If you compare this to a diet then my mask day is sort of my cheat day where I treat my skin to a nutrient buffet, complete with exfoliation.

Lazy Day 3 Step Korean Skincare Routine
My 3-step skincare consists of cleansing oil, multi toning essence and sunscreen.

Step 1: Cleansing oil
For oily, acne-prone skin gals like me, I highly recommend using a cleansing oil. Why? It only gets rid of the icky sebum and leaves the good oils on the skin. Plus, it's really gentle on the skin.

Step 2: Multi Toning Essence
Actually, on the second step, I used to use only serums or essences but now, I use the Nella Multi Toning Essence because it has three functions as a lotion, toner and essence. I use it mainly because it's an essence and it tones. Previously, I've skipped out on the toning part on my lazy days but using this multi toning essence is a way better option.

Multi Toning Essence I use: Nella Honey 1 Snail Multi Toning Essence.

Step 3: Sunscreen
As someone who has oily skin, I prefer a lightweight and non-sticky sunscreen. Of course, I also prefer using sunscreens that don't make my face look too white since I usually go out bare-faced. The Petal Velvet Sunaway is still my all-time favorite sunscreen because it has a nice finish and it gives me a pinkish glow (my face easily reddens).

Sunscreens I love: Rire Silky Light Sun Milk Sunscreen & Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway.

When I go out and I get into talks about skincare, people are usually surprised to hear that I'm not wearing makeup except for lipstick. Although, personally I think the Althea Petal Sunaway has made all the difference. Of course, my skin is far from perfect. A closer look will show you my huge pores.

This skincare routine is quick and it still gives me the glass skin I love. Of course, it only works if you still exfoliate and use masks at least once a week. Whenever I skip out on exfoliation and masks, I start finding a pimple or two popping out since I have oily, acne-prone skin.

How about you? What’s your lazy day skincare routine?

7th Blog Anniversary Top Fan Winner
Congratulations to Barbie Vitriolo, the Top Fan winner of my 7th Blog Anniversary Korean Beauty Giveaway! Kindly send me a message on my Facebook page.

For my next top fan giveaway, I'm currently thinking up on ways on how to improve the mechanics. I'm considering tallying the entries based on how many weeks someone has been a top fan, one week equals one entry, two weeks equals two entries and etc. I am open to suggestions though, let me know in the comment section if you have any ideas.
