CONCESSIONAIRES
Crackle Chips, Nieta Preserves, Native Gourmet, Sabaw Dumplings, Sisighooray, Tapaddiction by Mom’s Breaktime, Kapeng Mainit, Hiraya Bakery, Think Wink Cookies, Majalicious, Lokalitea All Natural Tumeric Tea, Balangay’s Best, Enchanted Nuts, Puto ni Papa, Healthy Nuggets, Bagnet Rice Patong, Bagwings, Chill Bar, Golden Duck, Master Flan, OHGK and Keso Beso.

SABAW DUMPLINGS
First off was bulalo xiao long bao from Sabaw Dumplings, it’s a Pinoy twist on the popular xiao long bao where it had bulalo soup and beef cubes inside.

HEALTHY NUGGETS
Next up is Healthy Nuggets which prides in their nuggets made of malunggay. It was yummy but even yummier when I added sauce to it at home. Rich in fiber for proper digestion, the malunggay component makes this delicious treat a healthy one.

NATIVE GOURMET
Scrumptious and flavorful, the crab paste from Native Gourmet is a must-try.

HIRAYA BAKERY

LOKALITEA ALL NATURAL TUMERIC TEA
I got the lemongrass flavor.

BAGNET RICE PATONG

MAJALICIOUS
Cookies and cream maja for me.

NIETA PRESERVES

TAPADDICTION BY MOM’S BREAKTIME
The tapa carbonara was good.

SISIGHOORAY

BALANGAY’S BEST

GOLDEN DUCK
Five years ago, on August 2012, I went and blogged about Enchanted Farm and Golden Duck was a part of that. On a side note, I just realized that I have been blogging for five years and not four.

PUTO NI PAPA

KAPENG MAINIT
Isaac’s favorite was this one, the egg waffle from Kapeng Mainit. The combination of cornbread and maple syrup was a winner.

ENCHANTED NUTS

OHGK

MASTER FLAN
Leche flan made from salted egg!

CRACKLE CHIPS
I took home these delicious salted egg potato chips and bicol crunch potato chips. Salted egg potato chips are my favorite but it was my first time trying the bicol crunch, I swear it tasted something like bicol express!

CHILL BAR
Tried Chill Bar’s mango slush.

Among the classic Pinoy dishes that the finalists needed to innovate with a twist are sinigang, kaldereta, pansit, sisig and tapa, using Knorr® products and Lady’s Choice® Real Mayonnaise. The dishes will be closely scrutinized and judged by the creativity of the twist, food taste and presentation, and the use of the UFS products by esteemed culinary experts such as the Executive Chef Fernando Aracama of Aracama Filipino Cuisine, UFS Senior Sous Chef Brando Santos, and UFS Senior Sous Chef Paulo Sia.

“Food innovation is not about changing the original recipe of a dish. It is about staying faithful to the original concept of the dish but adding creativity to improve the taste and overall experience of your diners as they eat it,” shared Chef Fernando Aracama.
