Skinfood Black Sugar Honey Wash Off Mask Review

DEAR DREAMERS
Skinfood was probably the first Korean beauty brand that I have ever tried or at least it was the one I frequented the most back in my high school days. I loved their nail polishes for its gentleness on my skin. Back then, I tried some of their skincare products but after discovering more Korean brands, I eventually stopped frequenting Skinfood. However, a year ago, I was sad to hear news of Skinfood possibly closing down. I thought that they would be gone for good since the Skinfood outlet that I frequented years ago closed down a couple of months ago.

Luckily, before the whole lockdown happened, I spotted a Skinfood product at Althea's website and it was the one I wanted to try the most. I went for it since it was a lot cheaper than what I expected it to be priced at.

REVIEW
With a deliciously sweet scent, the Skinfood Black Sugar Wash Off Mask could definitely be mistaken for food just by its scent alone. Despite being sealed, the wash-off mask was kind of messy, some of the liquid seeped out. It was wrapped in plastic so my other skincare products were unaffected by the leakage.

I'm used to using chemical exfoliators, it has been a while since I last used a facial scrub. At first, I was a bit hesitant since I was afraid that I might scrub too hard and end up hurting my skin. I scrubbed gently for the most part but when it came to my nose where it was a hotspot for blackheads, I especially scrubbed a little harder than the other areas.

After washing the mask off, my skin felt smoother and the pores of my nose looked cleaner. Maybe it's because I wear glasses plus sweat a lot, but my nose is prone to having dirt build-up which is why the results were more visible on my nose. It helps that this wash-off mask has self-heating properties which can aid in opening up the pores.

Price
I bought it for P370 at Althea.
