Face Mask Day is Cheat Day: Using 4 Kinds of Masks Within One Day, Once A Week

DEAR DREAMERS
Ever since I gave birth, I started having less and less time and energy to frequently accomplish my 10-step skincare routine. In time, my 10-step skincare routine dwindled to a 3-step skincare routine. Of course, there are skincare steps where I can't totally skimp out on especially since I have oily, acne skin. This includes exfoliation, we all know the importance of exfoliation, especially if we want to keep blackheads at bay.

In my Lazy Day Skincare Routine, I compared my lazy day routine to a diet whereas my mask day is my cheat wherein I allow my skin to indulge in various face masks. Just how much masks I use in my Mask Day Cheat Day, find out below.

Step 1 Cleansing (10 seconds to 3 minutes)
Yes, there's a mask for cleansing too! I love using wash-off masks for this step and I have several wash-off masks for different situations. It depends on when I'll start my Mask Marathon.

Morning: Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Rose (10 seconds)
If I showered the night before and plan to start the routine on the following morning, I'll use the Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Rose.

Evening: Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Green Tea (10 seconds)
If I already took a shower in the morning and I'll be showering in the morning again on the following day instead of in the evening, I'll use the Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Green Tea. Read my Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Review.

While Showering: Etude House Shower Pack (3 minutes)
I just love how I can use this wash-off mask while I'm taking a shower. Actually, I usually wear the shower pack longer than 3 minutes because I rinse it before I finish showering. Read my Etude House 3 Minutes Care Pack In Shower Review.

Step 2 Exfoliation
After cleansing, it's time to exfoliate the dead skin cells away. I use the Onsaemeein Yogurt Peeling Gel because I love how the gentle exfoliation. Step 2 and step 4 does not involve any face masks hence the title states I used 4 masks in one day.

Step 3 Clay Mask
Now that we have a clean slate, it's time to cleanse deep within the pores. I like using the Skin&Lab Dr. Pore Tightening Glacial Clay Face Mask because it leaves my skin feeling super cool to the touch. To maximize using clay masks, it's best to cleanse and exfoliate first.

STEP 1-3
If I'm pressed for time, I usually use the Althea Milk Peel Cream Mask because it only takes around one minute to use. Although, I prefer doing all 3 steps because doing this skincare routine is "me time" and I honestly love watching the peeling gel exfoliate my skin and feeling the coolness left behind by the glacial clay.

Step 4 Essence
I use an essence or serum so that my newly deep-cleansed pores can soak up on the nutrients.

Step 5 Sheet Mask
I love hoarding sheet masks and I love using Boomdedah's everyday sheet masks because they're affordable and work nicely. However, my current favorite sheet mask has to be the A'bloom sheet masks because they leave my skin super plump and juicy and they're super affordable too!

Step 6 Sleeping Pack
If I do the routine at night, I'll end it with a sleeping pack such as my Etude House Bubble Tea Sleeping Pack or my Saint Peau Red Ginseng Horse Pudding Sleeping Pack. If I start the routine in the morning, I usually save the sleeping pack before I go to bed.

I find it hard to do the 10-step Korean skincare routine every day since I gave birth which is why sometimes it feels like a chore which is why I decided to do 3 steps everyday for 6 out of the 7 days in a week and to set aside one day to give myself a DIY facial at home. Since then, I started treating my mask day as a time to enjoy myself rather than looking at it as a chore.

How about you, do you still do your 10-step Korean skincare routine?
