Beauty of Joseon Revitalize Sleeping Mask Review

DEAR DREAMERS
Honestly speaking, the rustic yet elegant packaging of the Beauty of Joseon Revitalize Sleeping Mask appealed to me the most. As if, taken straight out of the Joseon dynasty (I’m pretty sure that’s what they were aiming for), this sleeping mask had an extra packaging for design purposes which had tiny dried leaves adhered to crepe-like paper. It was too pretty to throw away, especially since it had a huge contribution to the packaging’s appeal factor.

Looking at the ingredients, it feels like I’m looking at an ingredient list of traditional medicine.

Ginseng
Honey

Review
Beyond the appeal of the packaging, I found myself using the Revitalize Sleeping Mask religiously despite having days where I used to be lazy or too tired to put on my sleeping mask. I guess I liked how it made my skin look like glass skin with a glorious glaze upon waking up. Of course, it looks that way because the product is still on my skin even after 8 hours of sleep. Upon washing it off, I’m left with nourished skin. I still want to have glass skin which means that I still perform my usual toner serum routine after washing off the sleeping mask.

Most importantly, it didn’t cause my skin to break out and it didn’t clog my pores either despite having oily, acne-prone skin.

Is it sticky?
At first, I mistook the viscosity of the Revitalize Sleeping Mask for stickiness but no it is not sticky. The consistency and texture may be akin to honey but don’t mistake it for stickiness like I did.

What does it smell like?
I can’t quite point my finger to the exact scent but it’s a scent that pleases the nose. It doesn’t come on too strong, it has a mild scent which you can only smell if you go out of your way to take a whiff.

Price
I bought the Beauty of Joseon Revitalize Sleeping Mask at Althea for P630 back when it was on sale. The original price is P840.
